Sainsbury’s celebrates ‘putting all store waste to positive use’
Sainsbury's has hit its target of sending zero waste to landfill within three years, with all waste now going 'to positive use'. Surplus food is redistributed, used to make animal feed or sent to AD plants, while general waste is recycled or turned into fuel.
